- 1 Vir die musiekleier; met snaarinstrumente. 'n Onderwysing van Dawid,
- 2 toe die Sifiete gekom en aan Saul gesê het: Het Dawid hom nie by ons weggesteek nie?
- 3 o God, verlos my deur u Naam, en doen aan my reg deur u mag!
- 4 o God, hoor my gebed, luister na die woorde van my mond!
- 5 Want vreemdes staan teen my op, en tiranne soek my lewe; hulle stel God nie voor hul oë nie. Sela.
- 6 Kyk, God is my helper. Dit is die Here wat my siel ondersteun.
- 7 Hy sal my vyande die kwaad vergelde. Vernietig hulle in u trou! Vrywillig wil ek aan U offer; ek wil u Naam, o HERE, loof, want dié is goed; want dié het my uit alle benoudheid gered, en my oog het met welgevalle op my vyande neergesien.
