- 1 爾當爲以色列牧伯作哀歌、
- 2 曰、爾母爲何、乃牝獅也、蹲於衆獅間、撫育其子於稚獅中、
- 3 養其一子、成爲壯獅、學攫物而噬人、
- 4 列國聞之、陷之以阱、以鈎曳至埃及、
- 5 牝獅久俟、知失所望、復取一子、養成壯獅、
- 6 往來於衆獅間、爲獅之雄、學攫物而噬人、
- 7 毀其宮室、墟其城邑、斯地及其所有、因其咆哮而成荒寂、
- 8 四周列國、咸自各州攻之、張網其上、陷之於阱、
- 9 拘以鈎、置於籠、攜至巴比倫王、曳入保障、使其吼聲、不復聞於以色列山、○
- 10 爾母脩長若葡萄樹、植於水濱、因其水多、枝茂實繁、
- 11 其枝堅強、堪作長者之杖、其榦干霄、其葉茂盛、高枝繁多、遠處可見、
- 12 因怒見拔、委之於地、東風暵其果、強枝折而枯、爲火所焚、
- 13 今植於曠野旱乾之地、
- 14 有火出於其枝、焚燬其果、致無堅強之榦、可爲長者之杖、此乃哀歌、後必以爲哀歌、
