Psalmii 12
- 1 Vino în ajutor, Doamne, căci se duc oamenii evlavioşi, pier credincioşii dintre fiii oamenilor.
- 2 Oamenii îşi spun minciuni unii altora, pe buze au lucruri linguşitoare, vorbesc cu inimă prefăcută.
- 3 Nimicească Domnul toate buzele linguşitoare, limba care vorbeşte cu trufie,
- 4 pe cei ce zic: „Suntem tari cu limba noastră, căci buzele noastre sunt cu noi. Cine ar putea să fie stăpân peste noi?”
- 5 Pentru că cei nenorociţi sunt asupriţi şi pentru că săracii gem, „acum”, zice Domnul, „Mă scol şi aduc mântuire celor obijduiţi”.
- 6 Cuvintele Domnului sunt cuvinte curate, un argint lămurit în cuptor de pământ şi curăţit de şapte ori.
- 7 Tu, Doamne, îi vei păzi şi-i vei apăra de neamul acesta pe vecie.
- 8 Pretutindeni mişună cei răi, când domneşte ticăloşia printre fiii oamenilor.

Dumitru Cornilescu (4 April 1891 - 1975), a Romanian orthodox archdeacon, later a Protestant minister created this translation in 1921. It is popular particularly among protestants.
