- 1 Salva-nos, Senhor, porque faltam os homens bons; porque são poucos os fieis entre os filhos dos homens.
- 2 Cada um falla a falsidade ao seu proximo: fallam com labios lisongeiros e coração dobrado.
- 3 O Senhor cortará todos os labios lisongeiros e a lingua que falla soberbamente.
- 4 Pois dizem: Com a nossa lingua prevaleceremos: são nossos os beiços; quem é o Senhor sobre nós?
- 5 Pela oppressão dos miseraveis, pelo gemido dos necessitados me levantarei agora, diz o Senhor; porei em salvo aquelle para quem elles assopram.
- 6 As palavras do Senhor são palavras puras, como prata refinada em fornalha de barro, purificada sete vezes.
- 7 Tu os guardarás, Senhor; d'esta geração os livrarás para sempre.
- 8 Os impios andam cercando, emquanto os mais vis dos filhos dos homens são exaltados.
