- 1 人在於世、無戰爭乎、其日不猶傭人之日乎、
- 2 奴冀昏暮、傭望工值、
- 3 我受累月之苦、亦若是、辛勞之夜、爲我而定、
- 4 我寢則曰、何時而興、而夜何時逝乎、輾轉反側、迄於平旦、
- 5 我體被蛆與土、膚旣合而復裂、
- 6 我日速於梭、消磨於無望、
- 7 我命只在呼吸、爾其念之、我目不復見福祉、
- 8 觀者之目、不復見我、爾目視我、我已烏有、
- 9 如雲消散而沒、人入陰府、亦不復返、
- 10 不再歸於其室、故土不復識之、
- 11 緣此、我不自禁我口、我神之痛必言之、我心之苦必訴之、
- 12 我豈滄海、豈鱷魚、致爾防禦我乎、
- 13 如曰我牀必慰我、我榻必解我憂、
- 14 則爾以夢幻驚我、以異象恐我、
- 15 甚至我魂寧願氣閉死亡、愈於寄此骸骨、
- 16 我厭生命、不欲久存、我日空虛、願勿顧我、
- 17 世人維何、致爾大之、而注意焉、
- 18 每晨臨之、每時試之、
- 19 爾至何時、轉目不我顧、待我咽津乎、
- 20 鑒察人者、我卽有罪、於爾何涉、曷以我爲的、使我視己爲重負、
- 21 何不赦我過、宥我愆、以我將臥於土、爾勤求我、已不在焉、
