- 1 約伯對耶和華曰、
- 2 我知爾萬事能爲、爾之意旨、莫能止之、
- 3 孰以無知之詞、晦厥意旨乎、我所言者、我不自知、奧妙之事、我所不明、
- 4 我將言之、求爾垂聽、我將問爾、願爾示之、
- 5 昔我耳聞爾、今我目覩爾、
- 6 故我自憾、在於灰塵、而自悔焉、○
- 7 耶和華諭約伯之後、諭提幔人以利法曰、我怒及爾、與爾二友、因爾曹論我、不如我僕約伯之正、
- 8 當取牡牛七、牡羊七、詣我僕約伯、爲己獻燔祭、我僕約伯將爲爾祈禱、我悅納之、不依爾之愚昧待爾、蓋爾曹論我、不如我僕約伯之正、
- 9 於是提幔人以利法、書亞人比勒達、拿瑪人瑣法、往遵耶和華命而行、耶和華悅納約伯、
- 10 約伯旣爲其友祈禱、耶和華則轉其困阨、依昔所有、賜之維倍、
- 11 時、約伯兄弟姊妹、與素相識者俱至、同食於其家、因耶和華降災、悼而慰之、各饋金一、金環一、
- 12 耶和華錫嘏約伯之暮年、尤盛於疇昔、有羊一萬四千、駝六千、牛一千耦、牝驢一千、
- 13 子七女三、
- 14 長女命名耶米瑪、次女命名基洗亞、季女命名基連哈樸、
- 15 境內女子、未有如約伯女之美者、其父賜以遺業、於其兄弟中、
- 16 嗣後約伯享壽百有四十歲、得見子孫四代、
- 17 約伯壽高年邁而終、
