Ψαλμοί 99
- 1 Ο Κύριος βασιλεύει, ας τρέμωσιν οι λαοί· ο καθήμενος επί των χερουβείμ· ας σεισθή η γη.
- 2 Ο Κύριος είναι μέγας εν Σιών, και επί πάντας τους λαούς είναι υψηλός.
- 3 Ας δοξολογώσι το όνομά σου το μέγα και φοβερόν, διότι είναι άγιον·
- 4 και την δύναμιν του βασιλέως, όστις αγαπά την δικαιοσύνην· συ διώρισας την ευθύτητα, συ έκαμες κρίσιν και δικαιοσύνην εις τον Ιακώβ.
- 5 Υψούτε Κύριον τον Θεόν ημών και προσκυνείτε εις το υποπόδιον των ποδών αυτού· διότι είναι άγιος.
- 6 Μωϋσής και Ααρών μεταξύ των ιερέων αυτού, και Σαμουήλ μεταξύ των επικαλουμένων το όνομα αυτού, επεκαλούντο τον Κύριον, και αυτός εισήκουεν αυτών.
- 7 Εν στύλω νεφέλης ελάλει προς αυτούς· εφύλαξε τα μαρτύρια αυτού και τα προστάγματα, τα οποία έδωκεν εις αυτούς·
- 8 Κύριε Θεέ ημών, συ εισήκουες αυτών· έγεινας εις αυτούς Θεός συγχωρητικός, πλην και εκδικητής διά τας πράξεις αυτών.
- 9 Υψούτε Κύριον τον Θεόν ημών και προσκυνείτε εις το όρος το άγιον αυτού· διότι άγιος Κύριος ο Θεός ημών.

This translation started in 1831 and was published in 1850 by the Orthodox Archimandrite and professor of the National University of Athens, Neophytos Vamvas with the help of other researchers. Considering that the Greek Orthodox Church wouldn't support him, he collaborated with the British and Foreign Bible Society to publish this translation.
The text is written in "kathareuousa", a form of greek that is not spoken today in Greece. It is closer to spoken greek though, than the Septuagint (also known "translation of the seventy").- Encoding: UTF-8
