Ψαλμοί 58
- 1 «Εις τον πρώτον μουσικόν, επί Αλ-τασχέθ, Μικτάμ του Δαβίδ.» Αληθώς άρα λαλείτε δικαιοσύνην; κρίνετε μετ' ευθύτητος, υιοί των ανθρώπων;
- 2 Μάλιστα εν τη καρδία εργάζεσθε αδικίας· διαμοιράζετε την αδικίαν των χειρών σας εν τη γη.
- 3 Απεξενώθησαν οι ασεβείς εκ μήτρας· επλανήθησαν από κοιλίας οι λαλούντες ψεύδος.
- 4 Έχουσι φαρμάκιον ως το φαρμάκιον του όφεως· είναι όμοιοι με την κωφήν ασπίδα, ήτις φράττει τα ώτα αυτής·
- 5 ήτις δεν θέλει να ακούση την φωνήν των γοήτων, των γοητευόντων τόσον επιδεξίως.
- 6 Θεέ, σύντριψον αυτών τους οδόντας εν τω στόματι αυτών· Κύριε, κατάθραυσον τους κυνόδοντας των λεόντων.
- 7 Ας διαλυθώσιν ως ύδωρ και ας ρεύσωσι· θέλει εκπέμψει τα βέλη αυτού, εωσού εξολοθρευθώσιν.
- 8 Ως κοχλίας διαλυόμενος ας παρέλθωσιν· ως εξάμβλωμα γυναικός ας μη ίδωσι τον ήλιον.
- 9 Πριν αυξηθώσιν αι άκανθαί σας, ώστε να γείνωσι ράμνοι, ζώντας ως εν οργή, θέλει αρπάσει αυτούς εν ανεμοστροβίλω.
- 10 Ο δίκαιος θέλει ευφρανθή, όταν ίδη την εκδίκησιν· τους πόδας αυτού θέλει νίψει εν τω αίματι του ασεβούς.
- 11 Και έκαστος θέλει λέγει, Επ' αληθείας είναι καρπός διά τον δίκαιον· επ' αληθείας είναι Θεός, κρίνων επί της γης.

This translation started in 1831 and was published in 1850 by the Orthodox Archimandrite and professor of the National University of Athens, Neophytos Vamvas with the help of other researchers. Considering that the Greek Orthodox Church wouldn't support him, he collaborated with the British and Foreign Bible Society to publish this translation.
The text is written in "kathareuousa", a form of greek that is not spoken today in Greece. It is closer to spoken greek though, than the Septuagint (also known "translation of the seventy").- Encoding: UTF-8
