Ψαλμοί 3
- 1 «Ψαλμός του Δαβίδ, ότε έφυγεν απ' έμπροσθεν του υιού αυτού Αβεσσαλώμ.» Κύριε, πόσον επληθύνθησαν οι εχθροί μου πολλοί επανίστανται επ' εμέ·
- 2 πολλοί λέγουσι περί της ψυχής μου, δεν είναι δι' αυτόν σωτηρία εν τω Θεώ· Διάψαλμα.
- 3 Αλλά συ, Κύριε, είσαι η ασπίς μου, η δόξα μου και ο υψόνων την κεφαλήν μου.
- 4 Έκραξα με την φωνήν μου προς τον Κύριον, και εισήκουσέ μου εκ του όρους του αγίου αυτού. Διάψαλμα.
- 5 Εγώ επλαγίασα και εκοιμήθην· εξηγέρθην· διότι ο Κύριος με υποστηρίζει.
- 6 Δεν θέλω φοβηθή από μυριάδων λαού των αντιπαρατασσομένων κατ' εμού κύκλω.
- 7 Ανάστηθι, Κύριε· σώσον με, Θεέ μου· διότι συ επάταξας πάντας τους εχθρούς μου κατά της σιαγόνος· συνέτριψας τους οδόντας των ασεβών.
- 8 Του Κυρίου είναι η σωτηρία· επί τον λαόν σου είναι η ευλογία σου. Διάψαλμα.

This translation started in 1831 and was published in 1850 by the Orthodox Archimandrite and professor of the National University of Athens, Neophytos Vamvas with the help of other researchers. Considering that the Greek Orthodox Church wouldn't support him, he collaborated with the British and Foreign Bible Society to publish this translation.
The text is written in "kathareuousa", a form of greek that is not spoken today in Greece. It is closer to spoken greek though, than the Septuagint (also known "translation of the seventy").- Encoding: UTF-8
