以賽亞書 31
- 1 禍哉！那些下 埃及 求幫助的，是因 仗賴 馬匹，倚靠 甚多的 車輛，並倚靠 強 壯的 馬兵，卻不 仰望 以色列 的聖者，也不 求問 耶和華。
- 2 其實，耶和華有 智慧；他必降 災禍，並不 反悔 自己的話，卻要興起 攻擊 那作惡 之家，又攻擊 那作 孽 幫助人的。
- 3 埃及人 不過是人，並不是 神；他們的馬 不過是血肉，並不是 靈。耶和華 一伸 手，那幫助人的 必絆跌，那受幫助的 也必跌倒，都 一同 滅亡。
- 4 耶和華 對我 如此 說： 獅子 和少壯獅子 護 食 咆哮，就是 喊 許多 牧人 來攻擊牠，牠總不 因他們的聲音 驚惶，也不 因他們的喧嘩 縮伏。如此，萬軍 之耶和華 也必降臨 在 錫安 山 岡 上爭戰。
- 5 雀鳥 怎樣搧翅覆雛，萬軍 之耶和華 也要照樣 保護 耶路撒冷。他必保護 拯救，要越 門保守。
- 6 以色列 人哪，你們深深地 悖逆耶和華，現今要歸向 他。
- 7 到那 日，各人 必將他金 偶像 銀 偶像，就是 親手 所造、陷自己 在罪中的，都拋棄了。
- 8 亞述人 必倒 在刀下，並非 人的刀；有刀 要將他吞滅，並非 人的刀。他 必逃避 這刀；他的少年人 必成為 服苦的。
- 9 他的磐石 必因驚嚇 挪去；他的首領 必因大旗 驚惶。這是那 有火 在錫安、有爐 在耶路撒冷 的耶和華 說的。
