- 1 约伯回答说：
- 2 “无能力的，你怎样帮助他，膀臂无力的，你怎样拯救他！
- 3 无智慧的，你怎样教导他，显明你丰盛的智慧！
- 4 你靠谁发言呢？谁的灵从你而出呢？
- 5 阴魂和在水中居住的，都在水下痛苦不堪。
- 6 阴间在 神面前赤露敞开，灭亡之处也没有遮盖。
- 7 他把北极铺在空间，把地球挂在太空。
- 8 他把水包在密云中，水下面的云却不破裂。
- 9 他遮蔽自己宝座的正面，把云铺在上面。
- 10 在水面划出界限，直到光与暗的交界。
- 11 天的柱子都因他的斥责震动惊奇；
- 12 他以能力搅动大海，以聪明击伤拉哈伯。
- 13 他以自己的气使天晴朗，他的手刺穿逃跑的蛇。
- 14 这些不过是他的作为的一点点，我们从他那里所听到的，是多么的微小！他大能的雷声谁能够明白呢？”
