以斯帖记 7
- 1 王带着哈曼去赴王后以斯帖的筵席。
- 2 在这第二次的酒席中，王又问以斯帖：“以斯帖啊，你要什么？我必赐给你；你求什么？就是一半江山，也必给你成全。”
- 3 王后以斯帖回答，说：“我若是在你眼前蒙恩，王若是喜欢，我所要的，是要王把我的性命赐给我；我所求的，是求王把我的族人赐给我。
- 4 因为我和我的族人被人出卖，快要毁灭，被杀尽、灭绝了。我们若是只被卖为奴婢，我也必闭口不言，但王的损失是敌人不能补偿的。”
- 5 亚哈随鲁王问王后以斯帖，说：“存心这样行的人是谁？他在哪里？”
- 6 以斯帖回答：“这敌人和仇人，就是这恶人哈曼！”哈曼在王和王后面前立刻惊惶万分。
- 7 于是王带着盛怒，从酒席间起来，到御园里去；哈曼却留下来求王后以斯帖救他一命，因为哈曼看出王已经决意要加罪与他。
- 8 王从御园回到酒席那里；那时哈曼正伏在以斯帖所靠的榻上；于是王说：“他竟敢在宫里，当着我的面污辱王后吗？”这话一出王口，人就把哈曼的脸蒙住了。
- 9 在王面前有一个太监哈波拿说：“还有，哈曼为那曾经说好话救王有功的末底改，立了一个二十二公尺高的木架，现在正立在哈曼的家里呢。”王说：“把哈曼挂在上面吧！”
- 10 于是他们把哈曼挂在他为末底改预备的木架上；王的忿怒才渐渐止息。
