- 1 王與哈曼、赴后以斯帖之宴、
- 2 是日宴時、王復問以斯帖曰、后以斯帖、爾何所求、我必予爾、爾何所欲、卽國之半、亦必爲之、
- 3 后以斯帖對曰、我若沾恩於王前、且王悅之、則請依我所求、賜我生命、依我所欲、保我民族、
- 4 我與我民見鬻、欲加殺戮翦滅、俾歸隕亡、我儕若被鬻爲奴爲婢、我則緘默不言、蓋以我儕遇禍、較王受損、不足數也、
- 5 王謂后以斯帖曰、敢起意爲此者、誰乎、其人何在、
- 6 以斯帖曰、厥仇厥敵、卽此惡人哈曼也、於是哈曼驚懼、在王與后前、
- 7 王忿然而起、離席往於御苑、哈曼知王必罪己、則起立、求后以斯帖救其生命、
- 8 王自御苑復返宴所、見哈曼伏於以斯帖所在之榻、則曰、在宮中、在我前、彼乃強迫后耶、王出斯言、左右遂蒙哈曼面、
- 9 侍王之內豎哈波拿曰、末底改昔有救王之功、哈曼爲之備木、高五丈、今立於己家、王曰、懸之其上、
- 10 遂以哈曼、懸於爲末底改所備之木、王怒乃息、
