- 3 I veldige menn! Hvor lenge skal min ære være til spott? Hvor lenge vil I elske det som fåfengt er, søke løgn? Sela.
- 4 Vit dog at Herren har utkåret sig en from! Herren hører når jeg roper til ham.
- 5 Vredes, men synd ikke! Tenk efter i eders hjerte på eders leie og vær stille! Sela.
- 6 Ofre rettferdighets offere, og sett eders lit til Herren!
- 7 Mange sier: Hvem vil dog la oss se godt? Opløft du ditt åsyns lys over oss, Herre!
- 8 Du har gitt mig glede i mitt hjerte, større enn deres når deres korn og most er mangfoldig. I fred vil jeg både legge mig ned og sove inn; for du, Herre, lar mig bo for mig selv, i trygghet.
