- 1 En visa Davids i högre choren. Om Herren icke med oss vore; så säge Israel.
- 2 Om Herren icke med oss vore, när menniskorna sig emot oss sätta,
- 3 Så uppsvulge de oss lefvande, då deras vrede sig öfver oss förgrymmar;
- 4 Så fördränkte oss vatten; strömmar ginge öfver våra själar;
- 5 Vatten ginge allt för högt öfver våra själar;
- 6 Lofvad vare Herren, att han icke gifver oss till rofs uti deras tänder.
- 7 Vår själ är undkommen, såsom en fogel ens foglafängares snaro; snaran är söndergången, och vi äre löse.
- 8 Vår hjelp står i Herrans Namn, den himmel och jord gjort hafver.
