民數記 17
- 1 耶和華 對 摩西 說：
- 2 「你曉諭 以色列 人，從他們 手下取 杖，每支派 一根；從他們 所有的 首領，按著支派，共取十二 根。你要將 各人 的名字 寫 在 各人的杖上，
- 3 並要將 亞倫 的名字 寫 在 利未 的杖上，因為 各族 長 必有一根 杖。
- 4 你要把這些杖存 在會 幕 內法櫃 前，就是 我與你們 相會 之處。
- 5 後來 我所 揀選的 那人，他的杖 必發芽。這樣，我必使以色列 人 向你們 所 發的 怨言 止息，不再達到我耳中。」
- 6 於是摩西 曉諭 以色列 人，他們的 首領 就把杖 交 給他，按著支派，每 首領 一根， 共有十 二 根；亞倫 的杖 也在其中。
- 7 摩西 就把 杖 存 在法櫃 的帳幕內，在耶和華 面前。
- 8 第二天，摩西 進 法櫃 的帳幕 去。誰知 利未 族 亞倫 的杖 已經發了芽，生了 花苞，開了 花，結了 熟杏。
- 9 摩西 就把 所有的 杖 從耶和華 面前 拿出來，給 以色列 眾 人看；他們看見了，各首領 就把自己的杖 拿去。
- 10 耶和華 吩咐 摩西說：「把 亞倫 的杖 還放 在法櫃 前，給這些背叛 之子 留 作記號。這樣，你就使他們向我 發的怨言 止息，免得 他們死亡。」
- 11 摩西 就這樣行。耶和華 怎樣 吩咐 他，他就怎樣 行了。
- 12 以色列 人 對 摩西 說：「 我們死啦！我們滅亡啦！都 滅亡啦！
- 13 凡 挨 近 耶和華 帳幕 的是必死的。 我們都要 死亡嗎？」
