- 1 耶和華諭約書亞曰、
- 2 告以色列人云、當遵我藉摩西所命爾者、簡立逃城、
- 3 俾無心而誤殺人者、可遁於彼、爲爾逃避復仇之所、
- 4 逃至斯邑者、當立邑門、自訴其事於長老、長老接之入邑、給之以所、使居其中、
- 5 若復仇者追之、勿以殺人者付於其手、蓋彼誤殺其鄰、素無仇恨、
- 6 彼居是邑、迨其受鞫於會衆前、俟當時之大祭司卒、乃返所逃出之故邑、而歸其家、
- 7 遂簡立加利利之基低斯、在拿弗他利山地、示劍、在以法蓮山地、基列亞巴、卽希伯崙、在猶大山地、
- 8 又於約但濱、耶利哥東、簡立流便支派平原、在野之比悉、迦得支派基列之拉末、瑪拿西支派巴珊之哥蘭、
- 9 斯邑旣定、凡以色列人、與其中賓旅、誤殺人者、可逃於彼、免死於復仇者之手、迨其受鞫於會衆前、
