Ιερεμίας 45
- 1 Ο λόγος, τον οποίον Ιερεμίας ο προφήτης ελάλησε προς τον Βαρούχ, τον υιόν του Νηρίου, ότε έγραψε τους λόγους τούτους εν βιβλίω εκ στόματος του Ιερεμίου, εν τω τετάρτω έτει του Ιωακείμ υιού του Ιωσίου, βασιλέως του Ιούδα, λέγων,
- 2 Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός του Ισραήλ περί σου, Βαρούχ·
- 3 Είπας, Ουαί εις εμέ τώρα διότι ο Κύριος επρόσθεσε πόνον επί την θλίψιν μου· απέκαμον εν τω στεναγμώ μου και ανάπαυσιν δεν ευρίσκω.
- 4 Ούτω θέλεις ειπεί προς αυτόν· Ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος· Ιδού, εκείνο το οποίον ωκοδόμησα, εγώ θέλω κατεδαφίσει· και εκείνο το οποίον εφύτευσα, εγώ θέλω εκριζώσει, και σύμπασαν την γην αυτήν.
- 5 Και συ ζητείς εις σεαυτόν μεγάλα; μη ζητής· διότι, ιδού, εγώ θέλω φέρει κακά επί πάσαν σάρκα, λέγει Κύριος, αλλά την ζωήν σου θέλω δώσει εις σε ως λάφυρον, εν πάσι τοις τόποις όπου υπάγης.

This translation started in 1831 and was published in 1850 by the Orthodox Archimandrite and professor of the National University of Athens, Neophytos Vamvas with the help of other researchers. Considering that the Greek Orthodox Church wouldn't support him, he collaborated with the British and Foreign Bible Society to publish this translation.
The text is written in "kathareuousa", a form of greek that is not spoken today in Greece. It is closer to spoken greek though, than the Septuagint (also known "translation of the seventy").- Encoding: UTF-8
