- 1 拿俄米謂媳曰、我女歟、我不當爲爾求安處之所、俾爾獲福乎、
- 2 昔爾與波阿斯使女偕、波阿斯非我之戚族乎、彼今夜在禾場、簸揚麰麥、
- 3 爾其浴身、沐膏衣衣、住於禾場、惟勿令其見之、迨其飲食旣畢、
- 4 彼偃臥時、爾察其處、然後入、啟其足而臥、彼必告爾以所當行、
- 5 曰、凡爾所言、我必遵行、
- 6 遂往禾場、凡姑所命、悉遵行之、
- 7 波阿斯飲食已畢、中心歡悅、往臥於麥積之首、婦乃潛至、啟其足而臥焉、
- 8 中夜波阿斯驚駭、反側、知有婦附其足而臥、
- 9 曰、爾爲誰、曰、爾婢路得、請以裾覆我、蓋爾乃宜贖我產者、
- 10 曰、我女歟、願耶和華錫嘏於爾、爾於少者、無論貧富、俱不相從、爾之施恩、其終較隆於始、
- 11 我女歟、毋懼、舉邑皆知爾乃淑女、爾所言者、我必爲爾行之、
- 12 我誠宜贖爾產、惟尚有一人、較我尤近、
- 13 今夜且宿於此、迨至詰朝、如彼欲贖爾產、則善、如其不贖、我指耶和華之生而誓、我必爲爾贖之、臥此以待旦可也、
- 14 遂附其足而臥、未能相辨之時卽起、蓋波阿斯曰、勿使人知有婦至場、
- 15 又曰、持所衣之外衣、旣持之、則量麰麥六量、置諸其肩、乃入於邑、
- 16 至其姑所、姑曰、我女歟、爾所遇若何、婦以波阿斯所待悉告之、
- 17 又曰、其人給我麰麥六量、曰、勿徒手詣爾姑、
- 18 姑曰、我女歟、其安坐、以覿其事若何而成、蓋今日事苟未成、其人必不中止、
