- 1 E l’Eterno mi disse: "Va’ ancora, e ama una donna amata da un amante e adultera, come l’Eterno ama i figliuoli d’Israele, i quali anch’essi si volgono ad altri dèi, e amano le schiacciate d’uva".
- 2 Io me la comprai dunque per quindici sicli d’argento, per un omer d’orzo e per un lethec d’orzo,
- 3 e le dissi: "Stattene per parecchio tempo aspettando me: non ti prostituire e non darti ad alcun uomo; e io farò lo stesso per te".
- 4 Poiché i figliuoli d’Israele staranno per parecchio tempo senza re, senza capo, senza sacrifizio e senza statua, senza efod e senza idoli domestici.
- 5 Poi i figliuoli d’Israele torneranno a cercare l’Eterno, il loro Dio, e Davide loro re, e ricorreranno tremanti all’Eterno e alla sua bontà, negli ultimi giorni.
