- 1 พระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าว่า “บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย ยืนขึ้น เราจะพูดกับเจ้า”
- 2 และเมื่อพระองค์ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้าพระวิญญาณได้เข้าไปในข้าพเจ้าและตั้งข้าพเจ้าให้ยืนขึ้น และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินพระองค์นั้นผู้ตรัสกับข้าพเจ้า
- 3 และพระองค์ตรัสสั่งข้าพเจ้าว่า “บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เราส่งเจ้าไปยังคนอิสราเอล ถึงประชาชาติที่มักกบฏ ผู้ซึ่งได้กบฏต่อเรา ทั้งตัวเขาและบรรพบุรุษของเขาได้ละเมิดต่อเราจนกระทั่งวันนี้
- 4 ประชาชนก็หน้าด้านและดื้อดึงด้วย เราใช้เจ้าไปหาเขา และเจ้าจะพูดกับเขาว่า ‘องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าตรัสดังนี้ว่า’
- 5 เขาจะฟังหรือปฏิเสธไม่ฟังก็ตาม (เพราะว่าเขาเป็นวงศ์วานที่มักกบฏ) เขาก็จะทราบว่า ได้มีผู้พยากรณ์คนหนึ่งในหมู่พวกเขาแล้ว
- 6 เจ้า บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย เจ้าอย่ากลัวเขา หรืออย่าเกรงคำพูดของเขา ถึงแม้ว่าหนามย่อยหนามใหญ่อยู่กับเจ้า และเจ้าอยู่ท่ามกลางแมงป่อง อย่าเกรงคำพูดของเขาเลย อย่าท้อถอยเมื่อเห็นหน้าเขา เพราะเขาเป็นวงศ์วานที่มักกบฏ
- 7 และเจ้าจะกล่าวถ้อยคำของเราให้เขาฟัง เขาจะฟังหรือปฏิเสธไม่ฟังก็ตามเถอะ เพราะเขาเป็นผู้ที่มักกบฏ
- 8 บุตรแห่งมนุษย์เอ๋ย ฝ่ายเจ้าจงฟังสิ่งที่เรากล่าวแก่เจ้า อย่าเป็นคนมักกบฏอย่างวงศ์วานที่มักกบฏนั้น จงอ้าปากขึ้นและกินสิ่งที่เราให้เจ้า”
- 9 ดูเถิด เมื่อข้าพเจ้ามองดูก็เห็นพระหัตถ์ข้างหนึ่งเหยียดออกมายังข้าพเจ้า และดูเถิด ในพระหัตถ์นั้นมีหนังสืออยู่ม้วนหนึ่ง
- 10 พระองค์ทรงคลี่หนังสือม้วนนั้นออกต่อหน้าข้าพเจ้า และมีตัวหนังสือเขียนอยู่ทั้งด้านหน้าและด้านหลัง มีบทคร่ำครวญ คำไว้ทุกข์และคำวิบัติเขียนอยู่บนนั้น
