- 1 ข้าพเจ้าร้องทูลพระเยโฮวาห์ด้วยเสียงของข้าพเจ้า ด้วยเสียงของข้าพเจ้า ข้าพเจ้าวิงวอนต่อพระเยโฮวาห์
- 2 ข้าพเจ้าหลั่งคำคร่ำครวญของข้าพเจ้าออกมาต่อเบื้องพระพักตร์พระองค์ ข้าพเจ้าทูลเรื่องความลำบากยากเย็นของข้าพเจ้าต่อพระองค์
- 3 เมื่อจิตใจของข้าพระองค์อ่อนระอาภายใน พระองค์ทรงทราบทางของข้าพระองค์ ในวิถีที่ข้าพระองค์เดินไปเขาซ่อนกับไว้ดักข้าพระองค์
- 4 ข้าพระองค์มองทางขวามือและมองดู แต่ไม่มีใครยอมรู้จักข้าพระองค์ ข้าพระองค์ไม่มีที่หลบภัย ไม่มีใครเอาใจใส่จิตใจข้าพระองค์

- 6 ขอทรงฟังคำร้องทูลของข้าพระองค์ เพราะข้าพระองค์ตกต่ำมากนัก ขอทรงช่วยข้าพระองค์ให้พ้นจากผู้ข่มเหงข้าพระองค์ เพราะเขาแข็งแรงเกินกำลังข้าพระองค์
- 7 ขอทรงพาจิตใจข้าพระองค์ออกจากคุก เพื่อข้าพระองค์จะสรรเสริญพระนามของพระองค์ คนชอบธรรมจะล้อมข้าพระองค์ไว้เพราะพระองค์จะทรงกระทำแก่ข้าพระองค์อย่างบริบูรณ์”
