- 1 โอ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ อีกนานเท่าใดพระองค์จะทรงลืมข้าพระองค์เสีย เป็นนิตย์หรือ พระองค์จะปิดบังพระพักตร์ของพระองค์จากข้าพระองค์นานเท่าใด
- 2 ข้าพระองค์จะต้องตรึกตรองในใจของข้าพระองค์ และมีความทุกข์โศกอยู่ในใจทุกวันนานเท่าใด ศัตรูของข้าพระองค์จะเหนือข้าพระองค์นานเท่าใด
- 3 โอ ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงพิจารณา และฟังข้าพระองค์ด้วยเถิด ทั้งขอทรงเพิ่มความสว่างแก่ตาข้าพระองค์ เกลือกว่าข้าพระองค์จะหลับอยู่ในความตาย
- 4 เกรงว่าศัตรูของข้าพระองค์จะว่า “เราชนะเขาแล้ว” เกรงว่าคู่อริของข้าพระองค์จะเปรมปรีดิ์เพราะข้าพระองค์กำลังหวั่นไหว
- 5 แต่ข้าพระองค์วางใจในความเมตตาของพระองค์ จิตใจของข้าพระองค์จะเปรมปรีดิ์ในความรอดของพระองค์
- 6 ข้าพเจ้าจะร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระเยโฮวาห์ เพราะว่าพระองค์ทรงกระทำแก่ข้าพเจ้าอย่างบริบูรณ์
