- 1 ข้าพเจ้าวางใจในพระเยโฮวาห์ ท่านจะพูดกับจิตใจข้าพเจ้าอย่างไรว่า “จงหนีไปที่ภูเขาเหมือนนก
- 2 เพราะดูเถิด คนชั่วโก่งธนูและเอาลูกธนูพาดสายไว้แล้ว เพื่อจะยิงเข้าไปอย่างลับๆให้ถูกคนใจเที่ยงธรรม
- 3 ถ้ารากฐานถูกทำลายเสียแล้ว คนชอบธรรมจะทำอะไรได้”
- 4 พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงสถิตในพระวิหารอันบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ พระที่นั่งของพระเยโฮวาห์อยู่บนฟ้าสวรรค์ พระเนตรของพระองค์มองและหนังตาของพระองค์ทดสอบบุตรทั้งหลายของมนุษย์
- 5 พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงทดสอบคนชอบธรรม แต่วิญญาณของพระองค์ทรงเกลียดชังคนชั่วและผู้ที่รักความทารุณโหดร้าย
- 6 พระองค์จะทรงเทบ่วงแร้วต่างๆ เพลิงและไฟกำมะถัน และลมที่แผดเผาใส่คนชั่ว นี้แหละจะเป็นส่วนถ้วยของเขาเหล่านั้น
- 7 เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ชอบธรรมทรงรักความชอบธรรม พระพักตร์ของพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรคนเที่ยงตรง
